BAK2SAC 2017 FREE TRAIN RIDE DAVIS TO SACRAMENTO

Davis Downtown Launches
“Bak2Sac 2017” Free Train Ride Program

You’re invited to visit nearby Davis, leaving your car at home, and receive a free train ride back to Sacramento in Davis’ Bak2Sac 2017 Program!

How does the Bak2Sac program work? Come to Davis on or with your bike, and pick up a voucher for a free train ticket back to Sacramento at participating businesses. Your voucher is good for any number of convenient trains running seven days a week. Turn in your voucher at the Amtrak station and receive your train ticket. Hop on board with your bike and go Bak2Sac!

What is there to do in Davis? Visit the Davis Farmers Market, listen to music at Picnic in the Park, experience the one and only U.S. Bicycling Hall of Fame, visit art galleries on Second Friday ArtAbout, catch a performance at the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts, and shop and dine downtown anytime you please. You can also explore the beautiful Yolo County countryside, the perfect two-wheel destination.

When is the Bak2Sac program? Daily now through December 31, free travel vouchers are available for all “off peak” trains at participating locations. See below for train schedule and business locations. (Blackout dates: November 21-26.)

How do I get to Davis? By bicycle or a bike/train combination.

Bike route to Davis ~ From West Sacramento: Head west on West Capitol Avenue until you reach the crosswalk near the west end, turn right onto bike path and continue on to the causeway. At west end of causeway, proceed to the frontage road (CR 32A). Before the railroad tracks you can either go straight onto the bike path into Davis OR you can cross the RR tracks and follow CR 32A to […]
