Here’s What’s Happening During Celebrate Small:
November 29 – Golden Receipt Giveaway
Kick off Shop Small Saturday with big energy!
Shoppers who email their receipt from a participating downtown business will be entered to win a
$100 DDBA gift card. Participating businesses will also be featured in our
“7 Days of Small Biz Cheer” social media series—perfect for boosting visibility during the biggest
shopping week of the year.
November 29 – December 6 – 7 Days of Small Biz Cheer
This year we’re adding a brand-new social media spotlight series.
Each participating business will receive:
- A spotlight post on DDBA social channels
- Tags and mentions to amplify your business
- Optional tie-ins to Holiday Hunt clues or prizes
Zero extra work for you—just extra exposure.
December 6 – Pictures in the Plaza
Families come downtown to see the tree, meet festive characters, and take holiday photos.
This event brings steady foot traffic to surrounding businesses—perfect timing to keep your shop
top of mind for holiday gifting.

Holiday Hunt | Merry Burger Battle | Annual Window Decorating Contest
Our team will hide gift cards and golden tickets all month long.
Holiday Hunt
- Donate a gift card from your business to be hidden, or
- Participate by helping spread the word and enjoying the extra foot traffic and buzz downtown.
Merry Burger Battle
If your business serves burgers (or a fun holiday twist on one!), you can enter our friendly month-long burger showdown—
judged by a secret panel plus the public.

Annual Window Decorating Contest
Bring holiday magic to your storefront!
A secret panel of judges will select our official winners, and the public will vote for the
People’s Choice Award. This contest drives huge community engagement and gives your business a festive
storefront that attracts visitors all month long.
