Hot Davis Days Cars & Coffee

Cars & Coffee Heated Up Downtown!

More than 250 cars came to Central Park on Sunday, Aug. 13 for Davis Downtown’s third annual Hot Davis Days Cars & Coffee event.

The family-fun affair, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., was free for the hundreds of participants and a few thousand attendees. It attracted vintage, new, electric and other specialty vehicles as well as visitors from the greater Sacramento region. Participants parked under the Farmers Market Pavilion, with overflow on adjacent C Street. A few dozen vehicles from the event’s collaborative organizations were showcased on the park grass.

Thank you to the vendors who served snacks and coffee: Pachamama Coffee, Upper Crust Baking and Kona Ice. Davis Downtown collaborated with several other organizations to make this year the largest and best Cars & Coffee yet. These included the car-enthusiast groups Cars & Coffee Sac, Davis Motorsports Club, and Yacht Club Premier Car Club. We are excited to have made many new connections through this event, including the local club that has 550+ members (a majority of them being UC Davis students and alumni).

Summer Sidewalk Sale

We hope you enjoyed the 2023 Summer Sidewalk Sale in downtown Davis. Businesses offered some sizzling deals during the hot summer days. The sale encouraged support for our local downtown businesses and provided shoppers with a preview of merchandise and service offerings.

Shoppers were encouraged to also stay for the 2nd Friday ArtAbout, which is a regular happening in the downtown that is a vibrant celebration of community arts and culture every 2nd Friday. All in all, it was the perfect blend of creativity and retail therapy. E Street Plaza featured live music and creative chalk art.

We were thrilled with the lineup of participating businesses:

  • Armadillo Music
  • Avid & Co.
  • Avid Reader
  • Bohème Clothing & Gifts
  • Bubble Belly
  • Logos Books
  • Mabel’s Farm Box
  • Newsbeat

Community Health & Wellness Fair 2022

Welcome to Davis Downtown’s

We had so much fun—Thank you!

Thank you to all of our event-goers! We had a great time celebrating health & wellness downtown.

Fair-goers met with health and wellness vendors who provide a broad range of local services to help keep our community members happy and health conscious. Attendees met local experts and learned about how to take care of their physical, mental, and nutritional vitality as well as how to contribute to our environment’s well-being.

The Health and Wellness Fair took place on 2nd Street, where we closed off the street to vehicular traffic. Vendors lined all sides of the perimeter between E & F Streets and performances took place down the middle of the block. Enjoy our event recap video here.

Thank you to our wonderful vendors, entertainers and fair visitors for your engagement in the downtown core. We are excited to have highlighted so many of the wonderful businesses and organizations that serve our community members—the ones we wouldn’t want to live without!

The DDBA puts on a host of great downtown events. Keep up-to-date by following us on Facebook @davisdowntown and Instagram @davis.downtown.
