The Davis Downtown Business Association and Davis Police Department are continuing to gauge downtown businesses’ interest in investing-in and adopting new technology from Fusus that would allow businesses to link their existing cameras together in a secure network in order to promote safety, and help prevent and solve crimes.

Participation in the utilization of this technology will always be optional.

Sharing your live and/or recorded camera feed within your preferred and tailored network could enable the local PD and neighbor businesses to act and collaborate on incidents at your location faster and equip officers with advance knowledge of the situation. Fusus’ technology solutions would be customizable to each business’s and property owner’s needs and wants.

“Fusus could keep our residents and business owners safer and build closer ties within our community.” —Chloe Ebarb, DDBA Associate Director

The Davis Downtown Business Association has provided correspondence on Fusus to our members through various media (our website, Facebook and Instagram) and also held a webinar, that was available to all of our members on July 7th, that gave a deeper look into Fusus technology and provided businesses the opportunity to ask questions and provide input.

With some interest in adopting this technology, we are continuing our efforts at gathering information from our members. Please let us know if you are interested in having this technology utilized at your business. Depending on overall interest, we will be able to get a quote on costs for the City, DDBA and/or individual businesses and property owners.
